We have many shell and tube heaters (single pass) at our refinery and I would like to calculate the Kw rating or steam usage for them, most have 55.5 sq/m of tube area and I would like to know how many Tonnes (Australian) this would use (or how to calculate). I found out the other day we are using superheated steam and not saturated, that sees us with 77 deg C (760kpa) of superheat coming into the heaters, so I have to convince my refinery to convert with de-superheaters.
