1. Float: The slack in the ball screw bearing carrier at the secured end. 2. Backlash: The degrees of rotation it takes to cause the nut to move the load one way and then when reversed to move the load other end. (slack in the nut to screw) (usually is correctable with a split nut adjustment of some kind) 3. Pitch Error of Screw: this is the pitch accuracy of the manufacture of the ball screw.
