Will someone help me locate a Manufacturing/Engineering Calculator. Years ago friends of mine purchased (I believe thru J&L Ind.) a calculator with tons of formula's installed. I do not have a model# but think it was a T.I. brand. Cost about $279.00. Any info would be appreciated. |

The latest powerful HP is the 49G+ which is a pretty good machine, but it doesn't come with forumlas already in it. Like the 48's, you can download things for it, though, and most of the older engineering programs will work on it too. The 49G+ also has the capability for using Algebraic entry (like the $10 scientific calculators in Wal-Mart) if you don't like HP's famous RPN entry system. You can switch between modes at any time, or keep it in one mode as long as you own the machine (I keep mine in RPN - it's the most efficient once you get used to it). Best of luck finding a machine you like! Acro |
