Dear All,

I have some doubts in the valve and actuator basic areas.Please clarify me the following questions.

1.How the Thrust and torue sensors measuring on valve stem? and why these paramaeters have importance in operation of valve?
2.Why we are using Bonnets in between Valve and Actuator instead of mounting directly?
3.What are all the general types of Valves?
4.Capabilities of Butterfly type over other types?
5.How the torque required for an actuator is decided? or How the actuator is being selected?

You need to be more specific, are you talking about articals on Engineers Edge? or valves and actuators in general?

You might also try just one question at a time.
