Who can help me with idea's for an easy mechanical system, some kind of spring with delayed working to re-enter original position. It must fits on a toilet seat to close the lid about 2-3 minutes after it was opened. The spring is put on pressure by opening, and must return after some time.

maybe not so easy to build.
It shall be a hydraulic cylinder with the piston with a chek valve and a restriction hole, some like a car shock absorber.
