hola, im currently doing a project involving making a simple flywheel from a standard compact disc and a compression spring. The difficulty I have had is in transferring the springs stored potential energy into the (modified) CD. can anyone suggest a simple method. My original idea was to simply wrap a cord around the bearing on which the CD spins & the release of the spring would pull the cord and rotate the CD, but how do I account for slippages before the cord leaves the bearing? |
