i wonder whether the idea behind emplementing SPC into a production process is a Prventive measure as in a quality assurance measure or its a method of detecting problems in a system? Is it in line with Phil Crosby's theory of "Zero Defects"? |

I beleive SPC is used to identify weakness within a process due to any number of reasons. Kind of a continuing improvment philosophy. Intersting, the technics used by SOC have been around a very long time. |
