I have a load calulation that I am trying to figure out, but it is indeterminate. By this I mean I have (3) unknowns and only (2) equations to use (Sum of the forces in the vertical direction and the moment equation). My problem is basically a platform that is supported by three equally seperated supports). The loads are the weight of the platform and a 2-axle truck moving across the platform. Can anyone offer some suggestions how I might be able to solve this. Thank You,

You have 3 equations. There are two moment equations, not one, which can be had by using the line of centers of two of the supports say AB and BC where A,B and C are the supports. |
