Can a 150mm long, 150mm diameter beam (mild steel) support 15000 Kg distributed evenly over the end 100mm. The beam is fixed to the wall only at one end. This is what I wish to build a pulley system with. The shaft is attached to the sheave with a frictionless bearing. Any help would be greatley appreciated with this as I don't have a clue where to start. Thanks |
