I have an idea for a new tool and was wanting to know how to proceed with it. I do not have anyway of designing it myself, and would like to know where to go from here to get it designed so that I may be able to find a manufacturer that will produce it. Which leads to my next ?. Does this site help with all or any of the above . |

Several of us here do that kind of thing. Perhaps you could express what part of the country you are in and what kind of basic tool your are talking about. Don't give away anything that will jeopardize your idea over the internet until you have reached an agreement and the engineer has signed a non-disclosure statement. This protects your idea. However you can give an idea of how large it is and if it is a structure or a hand held device or insturment. Is it intended to be of plastic, steel? .... things like that. This will give the folks on the forum a better idea if it fits their knowledge base. -randy- The worst suggestion of you lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
