I am looking for information on axial load capacities of square tube, milled sections, angles, etc. with regard to their unbraced length. Does anyone know an on-line source? Tobias |

The best place I've seen for this type of information is the American Institute of Steel Construction's "Manual of Steel Construction". The book has tables showing what each type of shape can take at various lengths. One problem, however, is angles. The way they're loaded makes a big difference on their capacity. Acro |
