Hi! Can someone help me understand Roark's formula for torsional stress (Roark's 7th ed. table 10.1, #26) Specifically, what is algebraically least in the case of a wide-flange beam? The point on the top flat? or on 'r'?
Also, if it is on 'r', what is the angle around the "reentrant portion" Is it pi/2 of 'r'? Hmmm. Thanks!
