Hi! Can anyone refer me to a place where I can obtain information on the tensile strength of screws and bolts? I am looking in particular for the strength of MS51958 screw. Can't seem to find it anywhere on the net.

I just happen to have that specification on my desk.

That is a Pan-head screw, Stainless Steel.

Material:  Steel, Corrosion-Resisting, 300 series as specified in QQ-S-763 and FED-STD-66, Composition 304 or 316 or equal to or interchangable with 16:18 or 18:8 Chromium Alloy Steel.

Protective coating or treatment: Cleaned and descaled in accordance with ASTM A380-78. Black Oxide in accordance with procurement specification when black oxide coating is required.

** Based on 80,000 PSI minimum rensile strength
