HI
I have a 3D-solid created in catia in IGES format and want to import it to Ansys and analyse it. But only the surfaces are imported to Ansys. Please help me to import that file to Ansys properly. Thanks |

Well, to the best of my knowledge, you have done it properly. With the surfaces imported, you just have build a volume from those surfaces. From the ANSYS main menu, Preprocessor > Modeling > Create > Volumes > Arbitrary > By Areas. IF you do find a way to bring volumes into ANSYS correctly, I'd love to hear about it! |
