I'm looking for advice on my engineering major, currently i have just completed my associates in engineering and am tranferring to a four year college in the spring to pursue my bachelors. Outside of the core statics/dynamics and strength and materials i don't truely have a flavor for what i really want to do. I had thought i wanted to follow mechinical engineering but the college i'm transfering to also offers engineering mechanics and the description of the major sounded nice to me. Ultimately i'm looking for good job placement out of college and i want to be in a field that will be around for some time to come. Is engineering mechanics what i'm looking for or should i stick with mechinical engineering? Would anybody be able to give me a comparison between the two fields? Thanks for any help.
