I am a scond year engineering student. My question is; in what applications would the ASHRAE tables on thermdynamics of moist air be used? would'nt the psychrometric chart or the ideal gas formulas be used instead?Any construtive informatoin would be appriciated. I haven't looked at ASHRE thermo tables, but I can tell you with great confidence that they cannot be any different from the data you will get from the psycchrometric chart. So far as I know, the laws of Thermodynamics have not changed and will not change any time soon. |

It is my understanding that ASHRAE is a certification group for the HVAC industry. If so, their chart would be used as a standard in which all member companies would have agreed to use as an, even across the board, agreement for bidding and performing HVAC work, and product development in the spirit of fair competition and advertising. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
