It is a hard to tell situation. It depends very much on the situation. It cuts easy, however is very sticky to cutting tools. You MUST use plenty of coolant. You can not allow any heat build up, and as it sticks to the tool it causes severe heat build up. As it sticks to the tool it grabs more lead build up stopping up the cutting process. Water jet is a consideration where possible. I have had success using VERY sharp tools with very low RPM at high feed rates, submerged. I have found it to be a figure it out each time process. I thought to try chilled coolant but never had a chance to give it a try. I hope this is of some help. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
