I need to drill .013 holes in 6061.
The machine I'm using is an OZO drilling machine. The max Spindle speed is 50,000 rpm and the min feed is 10 ipm. The drill is Carbide. Any Ideas? |

Your problem is not RPM, it is chip control.
You must use a coolant and you must peck cycle the holes. This means you must remove the drill and reinsert it many times if you are going very deep. The worst suggestion of your lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them. |
