Hello, I need to design a power screw mechanism as shown in the picture below. The screw is pushing a load of about 3ton. How do i calculate the diamiter of the screw and the generated stressed( tensile, shear)? thanks Miki

motion screw manufacturer's website that has a newly added beta version of a specs calculator for acme and ballscrews. Elsewhere on the same site are very useful formulas and explanation of motion screw terminology and design criteria. Tiger
