Please I am into the design of a Silencer, which comprises of a nozzle welded unto an head. I am encoutering problem calculating the maximum allowable load by the nozzle, I have considered the radial load, shear, torque and the tosion. I need assistance on this as I am not getting the right result.

Also, I need help regarding another project on silencer as well, I need to regulate the pressure drop in a silencer from the inlet to the outlet, but I am getting a result which is twice the desired.

If you nee diagrams I amay attach on request.
