I am looking at building a 48' Gooseneck Trailer. The max load is 6500lbs thats carried. Trying to find out what size and grade of Aluminum I Beams that I need to use. every thing is bulk not much wt. |

Your being a little too vague to provide any kind of meaning design suggestions. 48 feet with complex geometry, all I can suggest is to go as large as you can stand. Additionally, without a simple vector analysis of strength, after building, you might proof load the trailer before taking it out on the road. Normally the proof load if 1.5 x the maximum working load. |
