Hi, i would like to design a vertical power screw that can provide me a 50atm pressure in the pressure vessel down to it. It may be just one screw construction or a 2 scre press. Now the problem is that i don't know how to callculate the dimentions of the screw (diameter, pitch etc.) all that i cnow is the presure and the diameter of the pressure vessel, so I can know the force on the scre that is around 4 ton.

WE ACTUALY DONT GET THE EXACT APPLICATION FOR THE POWER SCREW.
IF IT IS APPLIED AT THE ENDS THEN FORCES ARE DIFFERANT OR IF IT IS ONLY APPLIED TO ONE END THEN, FORCE ARE DIFFERANT. ACCORDING TO WE HAVE TO DESIGN IT. SO PL. CLARIFY YOUR APPLICATION. THANKX. |

The firs application: the screw is in vertical position, and pushing with it's lower end a piston that compress liquid in pressure vessel while the other end is roteted by hand/motor all the systen is like a square frame, like press. |
