Hi folks,
If I have mis posted the picture please forgive me, I cannae get the size down small enough, the link is for my sky drive folder. I hope this is allowed. I would like to know if you folks could take a look at the picture (linked below) and tell me what you think caused the burr that can be plainly seen.An explanation for the circular indent around the hole would also be very useful. The hole is 12mm dia and the bolt that was through it was 8mm dia, a bog standard 8.8 mild steel bolt. Though the full picture (this is cropped) shows a hex headed bolt in the other hole, I do know cap headed bolts are sometimes used. Please just copy and paste the link, it will show the hole and just at the bottom left the burr looks like a bit of coiled wire or even a helicoil! Modified by Marky at Mon, Jan 10, 2011, 12:55:48 |

Marky, Seems like pulling teeth. Maybe suggest he puts it on photobucket or something. I must say I am intrigued by an M8 bolt in a 12mm hole. Not exactly fine Engineering. Not all that surprised about burrs. Dave |
