I am trying to find out the force required to form a coil that has an OD of .237" made from .029" 316 SS wire with a tensile strength of 275K. The wire will be pushed (fed) by two tangent rollers into a coil former to produce the required OD.

I would like to know the amount of force it is going to take to bend the wire into the proper coil size so I can determine what type/size of stepper motor I will need to power the feed rollers to accomplish the task.

Thank you for your help.
