Hi everyone,
Still haven't had any luck finding a formula. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks! Wally =============== Wally here. I'm a new member. Looking for a formula to calculate pipe deflection. Working on an application for a pipe used for an axel. I have 3 pipes sizes in mind, 4.5 ft long, cantilever supported with a load at outer end of 10,000 lbs. I want to calculate the deflection of each of the pipe sizes. Can anyone help me find a formula? Thanks! Wally

Since you are articulate enough to describe the problem, I would assume you can get a copy of any mechanical or structural handbook and look it up.
Mark's handbook and Machinery's handbook are two that are ubiquitous. I would be curious as to what the application might be.
