How about a drawing or diagram?

Hi, I was wondering if you can add beam defections together. Here is the problem, I have a 5 one-foot sections connected together. Can I add their individual deflections together to get an overall deflection for that whole span?
How about a drawing or diagram?

Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.
If they are rigidly connected - you calculate it as a single beam..

Thank you. Can I use this in a technical report as long as I cite it?
I totally respect Kelly, but you do realize your asking permission to quote an unverified, unknown to you person from an internet forum?
Here's how you should word your quote..
A person named Kelly on the Engineers Edge website whom has never seen what I'm working on, does not know the details of how our beam is connected or how it will be used said it was A-OK to quote them in my technical report that is was good to calculate the deflections as follows...."
You need an independent evaluation from somebody whom knows the details.... Just saying.
Also: if you're unsure how rigidly connected beam sections work, are you sure you're the right bod to drafting a technical report? I know that sounds a bit snarky but if you need to fully fix sections like this and then put them under loading, you need to know your gravy.
Thank you for my early morning entertainment.
