    Lightbulb cutout plates

    Hi guys.. Is there anyone who has good knowledge about stress concentration in cutout plates? And What is the difference between Finite width plate, semi-infinite plate and infinite plates? Any help would be appreciated.

    Can you guess why they ask YOU to explain the differences?

    Consider real life and the Chief Engineer asks you to design something and you say, "sure, let me just get on the Internet and I'll get back to you in 3 days." Don't be so damned lazy, consult your course notes and reference material.
